The cable fit perfectly. But the original had a rubber boot (akin to the one on the battery post connection), to protect against unforeseen direct + to- continuity/arcing by say, a wayward wrench or wristwatch. To be fair, if you�re replacing the positive cable, you probably know about such things. But I�m pulling out some electrical tape for a twice over wrap of the bare metal starter motor connection tab, just because I don�t like seeing a shiny new direct + contact point lurking about in my engine bay.
