This part lets you change the wire colour going to the bulb fixture, by crimping in a new wire. Much better than making a splice.

bulb socket

I had problems with a bulb socket, TS Indicator) with the bulb broken off inside. Bullheadedness got it out and then soldering iron replacing the wires it now works. Not trusting it though I now have spares. BW has a good rep and their service was great.
