4 of 5 Not easy to use but works well when used correctly February 9, 2021
Reviewer: Keith Bitzel from Cranbury, NJ United States
These crimping tools take practice and proper placement in the jaws, but once you get the hang of it, they work well.

The tool works well, but I was disappointed that as expensive as it was there were no instructions in how to use it.  This applies to the spade crimping too also.

3 of 5 Hard to use December 5, 2017
Reviewer: Jeffery Childress from Nashville, TN United States
Came with no instructions. ruined several terminals trying to learn to use. Need plenty of hand strength to crimp.

5 of 5 Great Resource! June 4, 2017
Reviewer: Steve Hanegan from Lake Forest Park, WA United States
I ordered this tool, a couple of different sizes of eyelets and some clips. Like every other order I have placed with British Wiring, the products are spot on and exactly as advertised, at a fair price, promptly and securely shipped and backed with good customer service. British wiring has become my "go to" source.

2 of 5 Great Company – Only Fair Tool March 3, 2016
Reviewer: Joel H. from Morton Grove, IL United States
Classic British Wiring is an excellent company and supplies quality materials.  One exception however, would be this crimper.  First, the tool I received was not the one pictured.  The crimping dies in the close-up picture appear to be precision manufactured, with a good fit.  They are stamped with AWG sizing.

In comparison, the tool I received was much rougher, less precise and stamped with metric sizing. It may be the same model, but it is clearly not the same tool. More importantly, the crimp it produced was inferior. Rather than rolling the flanges into the wire (standard AMP F-Crimp criteria), they simply flatten them, leaving several wires uncovered. I tried adjusting the tension and different die positions to no avail. I could have achieved the same result using a pair of needle nose pliers!  For what it’s worth, I was using Classic British Wiring supplied 1/4" Female Spade Terminals (C221).

I would not recommend this crimper.
